Triumph Thruxton 400 To Be Launched Soon In India
We already know that Triumph is set to expand its 400cc lineup with a new cafe racer, which is likely to be named the Thruxton 400. The Thruxton 400 will be Triumph's fourth model on 400cc platform, following the Speed 400, Speed T, and Scrambler 400X.
Design
In terms of design, the Triumph Thruxton 400 draws design cues from the larger Thruxton 1200. At the front, it sports a signature cafe racer half fairing with a raked windscreen and round LED headlamp. Clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, and a sculpted fuel tank enhance its retro racing look. The seat cowl adds authenticity, while rear-set footpegs offer a sporty yet comfortable riding position.

The Thruxton 400 will share many components with the Speed 400, including a tubular steel frame and bolt-on subframe. Overall, we expect the Thruxton 400 to sport an understated yet aggressive appearance compared to the golden forks on the Speed 400.
Performance and Specifications
The Thruxton 400 is expected to use the same engine as its siblings-a 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit producing 40PS and 37.5Nm of torque. Performance figures are expected to be similar but may have different gearing for its sporty character.
Pricing Expectations
The final price range of the Thruxton 400 could range from Rs 2.55 to Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom). That said, we expect this model to also feature some unique optional accessories as well.
DriveSpark Thinks
With its unique styling and modern equipment, the Thruxton 400 aims to attract enthusiasts seeking a retro-modern motorcycle suitable for daily use. Triumph's decision to launch this model in India first highlights India's growing significance in the global middleweight segment.
As pre-launch activities like TVC shoots commence, Triumph is expected to unveil this model soon, making it one of this year's most anticipated two-wheeler launches in India.
