Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX Launched At ₹23.07 Lakh - Only 1200 Units Available Worldwide

British bikemaker Triumph has launched the Speed Triple 1200 RX in India, priced at ₹23.07 lakh (ex-showroom). The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX is a limited-edition model, capped at 1,200 units globally, making it one of the rarest Triumphs on the road today.

Under the skin, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX borrows heavily from the 1200 RS. The Speed Triple 1200 RX is powered by the 1,163 cc inline-three, liquid-cooled engine that produces 183 hp at 10,750 rpm and 128 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm.

The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX's engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that channels power to the rear wheel, and the bike tips the scales at 199 kg, identical to the RS. Triumph has made no radical mechanical changes to the RX when compared to the RS.

Where the Speed Triple 1200 RX sets itself apart is in its ergonomics and aesthetics. The rider's triangle is more aggressive compared to the RS: the clip-ons are lower and positioned further forward, and the footpegs are rear-set and slightly higher. This subtly transforms the riding stance, giving a sportier, track-ready feel without compromising street usability.

Visually, the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX is striking with its neon yellow-and-black livery and unique RX graphics that immediately signal its special-edition status. Hardware enhancements include the Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 active suspension, paired with an Ohlins SD EC steering damper for sharper handling.

Braking is handled by twin discs with Brembo Stylema callipers and a Brembo MCS radial master cylinder. A carbon-fibre and titanium Akrapovič exhaust comes standard, offering both visual flair and the signature triple growl, though Triumph notes it does not reduce overall weight.

The RX commands a ₹1.31 lakh premium over the 1200 RS, which shares most of the underpinnings but lacks the RX's unique ergonomics and styling cues. Triumph has yet to confirm the exact number of RX units destined for India, leaving enthusiasts eager for the chance to own one of the rarest roadsters in the market today.
