Triumph Speed 400 Faces Price Increase In 2025
The Triumph Speed 400 has seen a significant price increase since its initial launch in 2023. The current model, priced at Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom), is now Rs 52,000 more expensive than the Speed T4 within Triumph's 400 cc range. This price adjustment comes shortly after the introduction of the Thruxton 400 in India.
The latest pricing for the Speed 400 reflects an increase of Rs 4,177. Despite this hike, it remains Rs 23,000 cheaper than the newly launched Thruxton 400. Moreover, the model faces competition from models like the Harley-Davidson X440 and Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, adding pressure to its market position.

Colour Options and Design
Triumph continues to offer the Speed 400 in four distinct colours: Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red. The motorcycle features 17-inch alloy wheels and includes adjustable levers and Vredestein radial tyres from its last update.
Engine Specifications
Powering the Speed 400 is a 398cc single-cylinder engine. This liquid-cooled motor delivers 39.5bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox that includes an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts.

Suspension and Braking
The bike's suspension system comprises gold-finished USD front forks and a rear monoshock. For braking, it relies on a combination of a 300mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc brake, ensuring effective stopping power.
Features and Weight
Equipped with dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire technology, and traction control, the Speed 400 offers advanced safety features. Additional elements include all-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument console, and a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres. The motorcycle weighs in at 179 kg.
