New Ducati Multistrada V2: Top 5 Things You Need To Know
Ducati has launched the 2025 Multistrada V2 in India, a motorcycle aimed at riders who want a balance of versatility, comfort, and sporty performance. So, if you are planning to experience the thrill of twin-cylinder power combined with long-distance touring comfort, here are the top things you need to know about the new Multistrada V2.
Powertrain
At the heart of the new Multistrada V2 is an 890cc V-twin engine, producing 115hp at 10,750rpm and 92Nm at 8,250rpm. Compared to its predecessor, the V2 gains 2.6hp but loses 3.9Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter, ensuring smooth shifts during both spirited rides and city cruising.

Specifications
Ducati has managed to shed 18kg from the previous model, bringing the kerb weight down to 199kg (without fuel) for the standard variant and 202kg for the V2 S. The fuel tank capacity now stands at 19 litres, one litre less than before, contributing to weight savings.
The V2 adopts a monocoque front frame, moving away from the older trellis design, further enhancing rigidity and weight distribution. The semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) on the S variant provides continuous damping adjustment based on road and riding conditions.
Features & Equipment
The new 5-inch TFT colour display features a completely revamped interface with three customisable info modes. The motorcycle offers five riding modes - Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, and Wet - that automatically adjust cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Engine Brake Control (EBC).
Standard equipment includes Cruise Control, a USB charging port, and the Ducati Brake Light EVO system that flashes the tail light under hard braking. The S variant adds Minimum Preload functionality, allowing the rear suspension height to be lowered at the touch of a button for easier maneuverability.
Ergonomics & Ride
Ducati has focused on improving accessibility and comfort. The new ergonomics and lower seat height make it easier for riders to place both feet on the ground, improving confidence at low speeds and when stationary. Combined with its reduced weight and refined balance, the Multistrada V2 promises easier handling both in urban environments and on long-distance rides.
