Top 10 Two-Wheeler Manufacturers (Retail Sales) September 2025: Hero, Honda & TVS Claim Podium Spots
India's two-wheeler retail sales in September 2025 reached 12,87,735 units, representing a 6.51 % YoY increase over 12,09,072 units in September 2024. Month-on-month sales declined 6.26 %, but the year-to-date growth remained positive at 3.07 %, supported by festival demand and competitive pricing.
HeroMotocorp reclaimed its sales crown in September, while Honda slipped into second place with TVS claiming the final podium spot on the sales charts...

Hero MotoCorp led the retail segment with 3,23,268 units, an 18.9 % increase from 2,71,820 units in September 2024. Honda (HMSI) sold 3,22,614 units, down 3.7 % from the 3,34,860 units it sold in the same month last year.
TVS sold 2,46,064 units last month, rising 10.8 % YoY the 2,22,029 units from the previous September, while Bajaj Auto recorded 1,37,224 units, declining 3.4 % from September 2024's 1,42,002 units.

Royal Enfield delivered 77,462 units, up 32.1 % from 58,653 units from September 2025, while Suzuki sold 77,342 units, a 3.5 % increase from the 74,699 units it sold in the same period last year. Yamaha reported sales of 48,099 units, down 4.3 % from the 50,265 units sold in September 2024.
Among electric two-wheelers, Ather Energy achieved 18,141 units, up 40.3 % YoY from September 2024's 12,925 units. Ola Electric fell to 13,383 units, down 45.9 % YoY from the 24,754 units it sold in September 2024. Greaves Cotton posted 4,271 units, Classic Legends 2,901, and BGauss 2,271, all showing YoY growth of 8.1 %, 5.1 %, and 10.6 % respectively.
PUR Energy sold 1,762 units (+9.9 %), River Mobility 1,688 (+26.0 %), Revolt Motors 1,276 (+21.8 %), Simple Energy 1,169 (+14.4 %), and Okinawa 1,004 (+1.9 %). Other OEMs collectively reached 1,805 units, a 12.1 % increase from 1,611 units sold in September 2024.
India's two-wheeler sales grew year-on-year in the month of September with manufacturers rolling out offers for the festive season and the drop in prices for sub-350cc two-wheelers, thanks to the changes in GST.
