Top 10 Motorcycles Sold In April 2025: Hero Splendor Continues To Dominate
Shifting our focus to the motorcycle segment for April 2025, we observed a downturn in sales. The top 10 motorcycles collectively sold 7,21,735 units, marking a significant 21.36% decline from the previous year's 9,17,790 units. This translates to a volume loss of 1,96,055 units, indicating a challenging period for the industry.
Hero Splendor
Leading the charge in sales was the Hero MotoCorp's Splendor, which managed to sell 1,97,893 units, despite experiencing a 38.34% drop from the previous year's 3,20,959 units. This downturn resulted in a volume loss of 1,23,066 units for the Splendor, yet it still accounted for 27.42% of the total sales among the top 10 motorcycles.

Honda Shine
Honda Shine emerged as a strong contender, experiencing an 18.32% year-over-year growth by selling 1,68,908 units, up from 1,42,751 units. This growth allowed Shine to capture 23.40% of the total sales, with a volume increase of 26,157 units, showcasing its rising popularity among riders.
Bajaj Pulsar
The Bajaj Pulsar series took the third spot with 1,24,012 units sold, although it saw a 14.36% decrease compared to the previous year's sales of 1,44,809 units. This resulted in a volume loss of 20,797 units, indicating a slight dip in its demand.
TVS Apache
TVS Apache range found itself in fourth place, with a modest year-over-year growth of 0.25%, selling 45,633 units.
TVS Raider 125
Following closely was the TVS' Raider 125, which experienced a 15.79% decline in sales, amounting to 43,028 units sold and a volume loss of 8,070 units.
Hero HF Deluxe
Hero HF Deluxe encountered a significant 57.09% drop in sales, selling only 41,645 units compared to the previous year's 97,048 units. This sharp decline highlighted the challenging conditions for the model.
Bajaj Platina
Bajaj Platina also faced a downturn, with sales decreasing by 32.61% to 29,689 units from 44,054 units the previous year.
Royal Enfield Classic 350
The Royal Enfield Classic 350, an iconic model, sold 26,801 units, witnessing a 9.08% decrease in sales from the previous year's 29,476 units. This was accompanied by a volume loss of 2,675 units.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350
That being said, not all was bleak in the Royal Enfield camp, as the RE Hunter 350 saw an 11.88% increase in sales, totaling 18,109 units.
Honda Unicorn
The Honda Unicorn motorcycle experienced a slight growth of 0.49%, selling 26,017 units. However, we expect the sales to improve in the coming months.
