Steelbird Hi-Tech India Limited Reports Significant Growth In Helmet Sales

Steelbird Hi-Tech India Limited has reached a new milestone by selling 8.7 million helmets in the financial year 2024-25. This figure shows an increase of 8 million helmets compared to the previous year. Consequently, the company's revenue rose by 10.07%, reaching Rs. 787 crore. Steelbird now aims to exceed sales of 10 million helmets in the financial year 2025-26, further solidifying its market presence.

The company's focus on road safety is evident in its new helmet models, which include Bluetooth connectivity, improved ventilation, and lighter designs. These features enhance comfort and security for riders. Rajeev Kapoor, Managing Director of Steelbird, highlighted the importance of road safety, stating, "We are committed to providing safe and affordable helmets for riders."

Steelbird Achieves Milestone in Helmet Sales

Steelbird's increase in helmet sales is largely due to enhanced production capabilities at its manufacturing facility. The introduction of robotic setups for visor production and automated paint processes has increased daily output to around 50,000 helmets. This expansion is vital to meet the rising demand for Steelbird helmets, known for their quality and safety.

In addition to helmets, Steelbird is broadening its product range to include riding accessories such as shoes, goggles, and rainwear. This diversification marks the company's shift towards becoming a lifestyle brand. Furthermore, Steelbird plans to expand its retail network across India significantly. The goal is to increase dedicated rider stores from 1,000 to over 200 in the coming years, making their products more accessible.

Looking forward, Steelbird has set ambitious financial targets for the future. The company aims for Rs. 900 crore in revenue in the financial year 2025-26. Long-term goals include producing 15 million helmets annually and achieving Rs. 1,300 crore in revenue by the financial year 2026-27. These objectives reflect Steelbird's commitment to quality and safety while anticipating continued product demand.

Steelbird Achieves Milestone in Helmet Sales

To meet growing demand from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket, Steelbird plans to strengthen its distribution network. A new factory is planned in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which will enhance distribution in South India and boost production capabilities. This move will further establish Steelbird as a leader in two-wheeler safety gear.

DriveSpark Thinks

Steelbird's dedication to road safety is clear through its strategic investments in production infrastructure and a comprehensive product line. With a growing retail network, Steelbird is well-positioned to achieve its ambitious goals while playing a crucial role in improving rider safety on Indian roads.
