Royal Enfield Breaks Sales Records In September — Over 1.24 Lakh Units Sold
Royal Enfield posted a blistering performance in September 2025, hitting its highest ever monthly sales. The Chennai-based bikemaker moved 1,24,328 units, a 43% YoY jump from the 86,978 bikes sold in September 2024.
In August 2025, Royal Enfield had sold 1,14,002 units, and September's numbers reflect a 9% MoM increase in sales numbers. Domestically, Royal Enfield sold 1,13,573 bikes in September, which is again a 43% YoY growth. For exports, the tally was 10,755 units, up 41% from the same period in 2024. Compared to August, domestic sales increased by 10.4%, while exports declined by 3.3%.
Royal Enfield's bikes in the sub-350 cc category accounted for 1,07,478 units sold last month. This marked a 43% YoY rise over the same month last year, when 75,331 units were sold. Meanwhile, the bigger bikes-above 350 cc finished the month with 16,850 units sold, marking a 45% YoY increase.
In the second quarter (Q2) of FY 2026, the total wholesale sales were 3,26,375 units. That's up 43% from 2,27,872 units in Q2 of FY 2025. Of that, sub-350 cc bikes contributed 2,82,156 units (up 46%), while models beyond 350 cc contributed 44,219 units (up 27%).
Through the first half of the financial year (April to September 2025), Royal Enfield sold a total of 5,91,903 units. That's a 30% increase over the 4,54,779 units the neo-retro motorcycle specialist sold during the same span in the previous year.
Sub-350 cc models accounted for 5,09,610 units, a 32% rise while models with engines larger than 350cc accounted for 82,293 units, up 22%. On the home front, domestic sales rose 27% to 5,21,482 units. Exports jumped sharply by 60% to 70,421 units.
Speaking about the performance for September 2025, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director - Eicher Motors Ltd., and Chief Executive Officer - Royal Enfield, said, "It has been an incredible start to the festive season for us at Royal Enfield, we have registered our best ever monthly sales volume and have crossed 1,00,000+ retail volumes for the month. To make sure that our customers take home their favourite Royal Enfield motorcycle this festive season, we have put in considerable effort. In the month of September, we announced the upgraded Meteor 350 which has received a promising response from our community. All our new and existing motorcycles continue to perform well, we are confident of the growth momentum and are looking forward to a great year ahead."
