Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750 Spied - RE's Giant Leap Into Big Bikes?
Royal Enfield is set to launch the Continental GT-R 750, its first fully faired motorcycle, built on a new 750cc platform. The model promises enhanced performance and features, marking a significant development for the brand.
Royal Enfield is actively expanding its range, with a focus on a new 750cc platform. This platform will support various motorcycle models, including the much-anticipated Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750. Recent spy images captured by Rushlane have provided a fresh glimpse of this upcoming model, which has been spotted during testing multiple times.
The Continental GT-R 750 is set to be Royal Enfield's first fully faired production motorcycle. Although the name isn't officially confirmed, it seems inspired by the Continental GT-R 650 race bike from the brand's GT Cup racing series. The model builds upon the current Continental GT 650 but ventures into new territory with its fairing and updated mechanicals.

The latest test mule suggests it might be a base variant due to its finish and component details. Unlike the premium 'Mr Clean' trim of the GT 650, which has a fully chromed rear tail light housing, this variant lacks such features. However, it does include chrome treatment on the engine bay and twin exhausts, similar to entry-level GT 650 models.
Earlier test mules of the GT-R 750 had a matte black engine bay and blacked-out exhausts, aligning more with mid-to-high-spec versions of the GT 650 lineup. Interestingly, all recent test mules have been seen with alloy wheels. If this feature makes it to production, Royal Enfield may offer alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as standard across the range.

Performance Expectations
A notable feature is the dual disc setup at the front, distinguishing the GT-R 750 from existing 650cc models both visually and functionally. With an expected performance boost from the new 750cc engine, enhanced braking becomes crucial. This parallel-twin engine is rumoured to be an enlarged version of the current 648cc mill and may debut on the GT-R 750 before being used in other models.
Earlier prototypes were seen with emission testing equipment attached to their exhausts, indicating early development stages. The absence of such equipment on recent prototypes suggests that emissions testing is complete. It appears Royal Enfield is now gathering final ride and performance data before moving towards production.
