Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Faces Price Hike Amid Strong Demand

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 remains a popular choice in India, ranking as the third best-selling model for the brand. Despite newer models in the 350cc category, demand for the Bullet 350 is strong. Recently, Royal Enfield has increased its prices by Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000, likely due to rising production costs.

Royal Enfield's Bullet 350 lineup begins with the Battalion Black variant, introduced in September of last year. Known for its retro design appeal, this variant is priced at Rs 1.75 lakh (Ex-showroom). Interestingly, it is now cheaper than the Military Black and Military Red variants, which are priced at Rs 1.76 lakh each.

Price Adjustments Across Variants

The Military Black and Military Red variants previously cost Rs 1.74 lakh but have seen a price increase. Meanwhile, the Standard Black and Standard Maroon variants now cost Rs 2 lakh, up from their earlier price of Rs 1.97 lakh. The premium Black Gold variant has also seen a price hike to Rs 2.18 lakh from Rs 2.16 lakh.

Royal Enfield plans to update its 350cc bikes with an assist and slipper clutch feature already available on the Hunter 350 model. This addition will make clutch operation lighter and gear shifts smoother, enhancing rider comfort and reducing fatigue during long rides.

Upcoming Features and Historical Context

The Bullet 350 will soon receive this slip-assist clutch upgrade to stay competitive against rivals like Honda and Triumph that already offer similar features. The current Bullet 350 model was launched in 2023 based on the J platform. The original GS 350cc Bullet debuted in 1932, making it the oldest motorcycle still in production.

The existing Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is powered by a new 349cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled engine that delivers 20.2 bhp and a peak torque of 27 Nm. It pairs with a five-speed constant mesh gearbox, offering reduced noise and vibrations for smoother rides over long distances.

Technical Specifications

The Bullet 350 features a twin downtube spine frame with front forks measuring 41mm and providing travel of up to 130mm. At the rear are twin tube emulsion shock absorbers with six-step adjustable preload settings. The bike rolls on a combination of a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel fitted with tube-type tyres sized at 100/90 at the front and 120/80 at the rear.

The braking system includes a dual-channel ABS integrated with a front disc measuring 300 mm and a rear disc of size 270 mm for enhanced safety during rides.
