River Indie Gen 3 Launched At ₹1.46 Lakh - Delhi Store Opens
Bengaluru EV Startup River Mobility has launched the Gen 3 version of the Indie electric scooter, pricing it at ₹1.46 lakh ex-showroom, Bengaluru. The announcement coincides with the opening of the brand's first store in Delhi's Rajouri Garden.
The River Indie Gen 3 update brings a bundle of enhancements. The 6-inch display now shows charging status, range, ride statistics, and can be customised via River's mobile app. The scooter also gains hill-hold assist, which helps on inclines without rolling backward.
Mechanically, River has upgraded the tyres for better grip and refined riding dynamics based on user feedback. The scooter continues with its 14-inch alloy wheels (front tyre 110/70; rear 120/70). Protective side bars, pannier mounts, and foldable footpegs remain part of the package.
Exterior styling remains mostly unchanged. The twin-beam LED headlamps, boxy body design, flat floorboard, step-up seat, and LED indicators carry over. Underneath, the scooter remains practical and utilitarian, focusing on utility over radical restyling.
The River Indie's Powertrain specifications remain the same: a 4 kWh battery pack, a 6.7 kW peak motor, and a top speed of roughly 90 km/h. It supports Eco, Ride and Rush modes, with claimed IDC range around 163 km. Charging from 0-80% takes about five hours.
Storage options for the River Indie remain generous. The scooter retains its 43-litre under-seat storage and 12-litre glovebox. With added practicality, users get pannier mount points, protective bars that double as accessory racks, and a solid build to handle real-world riding conditions.
With the Delhi showroom now live, River Mobility's network reaches 34 outlets across India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Patna, Hubli and more. The Delhi store, will act as the firm's northern hub. River plans to expand to 80 stores by March 2026, targeting states such as Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
Bookings for the River Indie Gen 3 scooter along with test rides are expected to begin soon at both the new Delhi store and existing River outlets nationwide.
