Ola Roadster X Plus With 500km Range Bharat Battery Cell Coming Soon

The Ola Roadster X Plus, equipped with the Bharat Battery Cell, has received government approval, and deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Roadster X+ will be offered with 9.1 kWh and 4.5 kWh battery pack options, claiming a Maximum range of 500 km. The Deliveries of this Ev bike are expected to commence by mid-January 2026. Recently, Ola began delivering the S1 Pro Plus electric scooter with India-made battery cells.

Ola Roadster X Plus with Bharat Battery Cell

The Indian government has approved the 9.1 kWh 4680 Bharat Battery Cell, developed by Ola Electric at its manufacturing plant in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The certification is received under the AIS-156 Amendment 4 standards from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). This means the battery is safe for daily usage, and Ola Electric can now sell these bikes to consumers.

This 4680 Bharat Cell battery was first introduced in Ola's flagship electric scooter, the Ola S1 Pro Plus. Now, Ola's flagship electric motorcycle will also benefit from the Bharat Cell battery, allowing the brand to operate independently without relying on imported battery supplies. This localisation will also help reduce overall costs while improving heat management and efficiency.

The Roadster X+ is the top variant in Ola's EV motorcycle lineup. It produces 11 kW of peak power and can reach a top speed of 125 km/h. The 9.1 kWh Bharat Cell battery comes with a 3-year / 50,000 km warranty and 500 km range. The other 4.5 kWh variant has a certified range of 252 km. Both batteries have undergone rigorous testing, including water immersion, vibration, and thermal shock resistance.

The Roadster X Plus also comes equipped with features such as all-LED lighting, a 4.3-inch LCD colour display, a brake-by-wire system, riding modes (Sport, Normal, Eco), telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, front disc brakes, cruise control, regenerative braking, reverse mode, hypercharging capability, app connectivity, and over 50+ advanced tech features.

The Ola Roadster X+ is priced at 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the Roadster X is priced at 99,999 (ex-showroom), and the standard Roadster starts at 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom). This commuter-segment electric motorcycle will compete directly with the Ultraviolette F77, Oben Rorr EZ Sigma, and Revolt RV400.
