Norton Ends Production Of Current Models Ahead Of TVS Relaunch
Norton Motorcycles has officially ended production of its current models: the Commando 961, V4SV and V4CR. This stoppage of current models by Norton clears the path for upcoming launches under TVS ownership, signalling the close of one chapter and the start of a new era for the storied British brand.
TVS has confirmed that Norton will reveal a brand-new 1200cc four-cylinder superbike at EICMA on 4 November 2025. The launch marks the next generation for the 126-year-old brand and will be closely followed by additional models globally and in India.

The new strategy revolves around three core models that will spawn multiple variants-bringing the total lineup to six. These new models will hopefully make Norton more accessible than its prior ultra-premium positioning and broaden the reach of the marque in key markets, including India and Europe.
India will be a key focus. Two Norton models-including the flagship superbike-are slated to launch locally by the end of 2025. Manufacturing is planned at TVS's Hosur plant, alongside continuing output at Solihull, UK, supported by a new India-UK trade deal.
Norton is also developing middle-weight bikes. Two new platforms-a 400-450cc single-cylinder and a 600-650cc twin-are in the works. These models will aim to compete with Royal Enfield in the retro segment and should offer a more affordable entry into the Norton family.
Prototypes spotted testing and design teasers have confirmed that the new superbike is nearing production. TVS' MD Sudarshan Venu was also seen testing a V4 mule in the UK. The new model features sleeker LED lights, an under-belly exhaust, and advanced electronics. It's expected to debut in India by late 2025.
Executive Director, Richard Arnold, said: "The Norton V4SV, V4CR and Commando 961 are revered the world over as the latest in a long line of iconic Norton motorcycles. As one chapter ends, another begins and the waiting is now almost over to reveal our exciting future. Norton's rich and storied history has always been built on a forward-thinking mindset and our resurgence reflects a bold vision for these legendary British motorcycles."
