New Bajaj Pulsar Incoming After ‘GST Slash’
Bajaj Auto is planning to use the new GST reforms to its advantage by launching a new Pulsar series, which could escape the 40% GST. Bikes above 350cc will automatically qualify for the 40% GST tax; those below should pay just 18% GST.
GST 2.0 has increased the tax rates of bikes above 350cc, and Bajaj is the first brand to be affected by this reform. Bajaj sells 400cc bikes along with KTM and Triumph. They are now planning to downsize their NS400Z into an under-350cc bike to qualify for the lower GST bracket. Reports suggest KTM and Triumph are also developing an under-350cc bike.

The Next Big Plan
Bajaj Auto Ltd's executive Rakesh Sharma revealed a product plan to launch three new Pulsar series bikes, a new ICE brand, a new KTM & Triumph bike under 350cc, and a new Chetak Electric scooter by 2027.
New Bajaj Pulsar
The first Pulsar bike will be launched by the end of 2025. In March 2026, Bajaj plans to launch a newly designed sporty commuter bike, followed by a performance bike in May 2026. They are also planning to launch a new ICE brand in the motorcycle segment to reduce their dependence on the Puslar series.

Apart from this, Bajaj is also eyeing the EV segment by launching a new Chetak EV Scooter in early 2026. According to the Vahan report, Bajaj recently became India's No.1 electric two-wheeler brand with its Chetak electric scooters.
A New Electric Motorcycle Platform
Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto, has revealed that Bajaj is developing a new electric motorcycle platform and is vigorously working on the R&D. This new platform will allow them to sell a wide range of Electric Motorcycles, starting from entry-level commuters to high-performance bikes.
Once developed, products from this EV platform will be sold both domestically and globally. Many traditional brands are catching up in the EV race. Royal Enfield has recently unveiled their Second electric Prototype, the Flying Flea S6, at the EICMA 2025 event.
Hero Motocorp and TVS have also showcased many of their EV concepts. Electric motorcycles have only 1% of the market share in the total EV two-wheeler segment, while electric scooters hold the rest. This wide market space has pushed these brands to develop new electric bikes for the future.
