MY26 Kawasaki Versys 1100 Debuts With More Power & Tech Upgrades
Kawasaki has introduced the MY26 Versys 1100 in India, priced at Rs 13.79 lakh, continuing its legacy as a powerful and versatile adventure tourer. Introduced earlier in 2025 as the successor to the Versys 1000, the Versys 1100 has been refined further for its 2026 model year, offering improved engine performance, enhanced ride dynamics, and a more engaging touring experience.
At the heart of the new Versys 1100 lies a 1,099 cc, liquid-cooled, inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 135PS and 112Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed return-shift transmission and delivers stronger performance at higher revs compared to the Versys 1000. This results in effortless cruising and smooth acceleration throughout the rev range. The throttle response feels precise and predictable, while the bike's deep, throaty intake note adds to the sense of excitement, especially during spirited rides.
Despite its strong performance credentials, Kawasaki has fine-tuned the Versys 1100's ECU for improved fuel efficiency. Combined with a 21-litre fuel tank, riders can expect long-distance touring without frequent refueling stops. Visually, the MY26 Versys 1100 sports a sleek new look finished in Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray and Metallic Diablo Black. The Versys 1100 is also loaded with an impressive suite of electronic rider aids and advanced technologies. It features electronic cruise control, allowing riders to maintain a steady speed with a single press of a button-ideal for long highway stretches. The Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system offers three modes that adjust traction levels to suit varying road conditions, ensuring safety and stability even on slippery surfaces.
An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) lies at the core of many of these systems, enabling real-time adjustments for cornering ABS, traction control, engine braking, and ride modes. Other notable features include Ergo-Fit adjustability, allowing riders to fine-tune the handlebar, footpegs, and seat position for maximum comfort. The bike also comes with assist and slipper clutch, electronic throttle valves, Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), and Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System (KIBS). A semi-digital instrument cluster displays key information such as speed, RPM, fuel level, gear position, and trip data. Bluetooth connectivity lets users sync their smartphones for added convenience, while a USB Type-C port ensures devices stay charged during long rides.
