Made In India Kawasaki W175 Retro Bike To Debut In The US
Japanese automaker Kawasaki has received certification for the retro-styled W175 from the US Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board. While the brand has yet to confirm, the model is expected to debut in the US market in 2026. This bike is already listed on the Kawasaki Mexico website, and we expect it to be launched in the US very soon.
Kawasaki W175 Made in India, Heading to the US
Entirely manufactured in India, the W175 will be exported to America as Kawasaki's most affordable bike. The 'W series' bikes were first introduced in the 1960s to rival BSA motorcycles, and the heritage continues with the W175.

Only the W175 is currently selling in India, but in the US, higher-capacity bikes like the W230 and W800 are being sold, with the latter featuring a 773cc air-cooled vertical twin engine. Now, the W175 will join the lineup as the most affordable Kawasaki bike.
Just like India, Kawasaki targets urban commuters, and this 175 LTD will likely be based on the W175 street. It will be sold with the same specs as the indian version. However, the W175 LTD will be missing some of the India-spec features, such as the Saree guards and rubber gaiters on the front forks.

But the LTD gets heat shields on the exhaust mid-pipe and the crankcase. It will feature the same 177cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which produces 13 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm, and 13 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Additionally, the bike has a 30mm telescopic fork, preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers, a 245mm front disc brake with ABS and a 110mm rear drum brake.
It also features a semi-digital retro speedometer, a single-piece seat for comfort, tubeless tyres offering practicality and classic peashooter-style exhaust. We already have Royal Enfield selling made-in-India bikes in the US and other Western markets. Kawasaki will now join them by selling the W175 LTD in North America.
