KTM RC 160 To Launch In 2026? Here’s What We Know So Far
The KTM RC 160 is likely to launch in India in 2026. This entry-level sports bike will take on India's best-selling 150cc model, the Yamaha R15. The Austrian brand already sells the 160 Duke, and there has been speculation about the arrival of the KTM RC 160. It will compete in the entry-level sports segment and could draw inspiration from the more powerful RC 200.
KTM RC 160: What to Expect?
It may feature the same LED headlamp, DRLs, fully faired design, sporty exterior, split seats, muscular fuel tank, racing-inspired livery, and graphics. Overall, the design and the size could be more similar to the RC 200.

The bike is expected to equip the same 164.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled SOHC engine that produces 19 PS of power at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This compact yet powerful engine is inspired by the 1290 Super Duke R and is known to deliver excellent fuel efficiency when ridden at optimal speeds.
The RC 160 could be built on the same world-class split-trellis frame as the Duke 160, offering sharp handling and a lightweight riding experience. It is also expected to feature WP Apex USD forks, a rear mono-shock suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, sporty tyres, and premium disc brakes.

In terms of technology, it could come with an LCD instrument cluster, full LED lighting, SuperMoto ABS, and turn-by-turn navigation. The Expected colour options are Black, Blue, and Orange.
The current Duke 160 is priced at 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The RC 160 is expected to be priced higher, with prices starting around 2.0 lakh (ex-showroom). The Yamaha R15 continues to dominate the entry-level sports segment, despite competition from bikes such as the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Bajaj Pulsar 220F, Suzuki Gixxer SF 150, and Hero Karizma XMR 210.
The RC 160 could become a serious competitor, as both models come equipped with powerful engines, premium features, and sporty styling. The KTM RC 160 may also become the brand's new entry-level supersport motorcycle.
