KTM 390 Enduro R Specifications Globally Revealed: 159kgs, 39Nm Torque, Switchable Dual-Channel ABS
The recent unveiling at the EICMA 2024 of the KTM 390 Enduro R has garnered considerable attention for its outstanding combination of features and functionality. This dual-sport motorcycle is built on the shared platform of the 390 Adventure S and the 390 Duke, demonstrating KTM's continued dedication to producing versatile dual-sport motorcycles. The company has divulged the bike's specifications on its official site, showcasing a motorcycle adept in off-road prowess as well as on-road efficiency.
KTM 390 Enduro R Power
Engineered with a 399cc LC4c engine, identical to the one found in the 390 Duke, the 390 Enduro R outputs an impressive 44.2hp and 39Nm of torque. Though this is slightly less than the 46hp produced by the India-spec 390 Duke, it is expected that the 390 Enduro R will achieve the full 46hp once it lands in India, with a torque output steadfast at 39Nm.

This motor is housed in KTM's renowned steel-trellis frame, which provides an optimal balance of rigidity and nimbleness, crucial for navigating both off-road trails and city streets.
For adventurers drawn to the path less traveled, the 390 Enduro R emerges as an enticing option. It boasts a substantial ground clearance of 272mm and comes equipped with a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wheel arrangement, making it adept at tackling off-road terrains.

The suspension setup, comprised of a USD fork and monoshock, each offering 230mm of travel, allows for smooth passage over bumpy landscapes. Despite its robust construction, the bike remains relatively lightweight at 159kg without fuel, presenting a 6kg weight advantage over the Duke.
Equipped for the Modern Rider
The 390 Enduro R goes beyond mere power and durability by integrating modern features that enhance the riding experience. A 4.2-inch TFT display provides connectivity features, including music control, incoming call alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation, ensuring riders remain connected even while on the go. Moreover, the motorcycle includes two riding modes, Street and Offroad, enabling riders to adjust the bike's performance according to their travel terrain.
KTM's commitment to safety and versatility is evident in the 390 Enduro R's braking system, which features a 285mm front disc with an axial caliper and a 240mm rear disc, supported by switchable dual-channel ABS for reliable stopping power across various surfaces. The motorcycle's design is intentionally minimalistic, focusing on reducing weight without compromising on functionality, highlighted by its compact 9-litre fuel tank.
Anticipation and Expansion
The motorcycle community is keenly anticipating the launch of the 390 Enduro R in the upcoming weeks. KTM is also prepping for the release of the 390 SMC R in the latter half of this year, as mentioned on their website.

The 390 Adventure S is expected to come with larger 21-inch/18-inch spoked wheels, whereas the SMC R will feature 17-inch wheels on both ends, broadening KTM's array in the motorcycle segment.
The KTM 390 Enduro R is poised to redefine the dual-sport motorcycle segment with its impressive blend of durability, agility, and modern connectivity features. Its comprehensive specifications and thoughtful design cater to riders looking for a motorcycle that is as capable on city streets as it is on rugged off-road paths. The excitement surrounding its launch, along with other models in KTM's lineup, underscores the brand's dedication to enhancing its dual-sport motorcycle range.
