Kinetic DX Electric Scooter India Launch Today! Everything We Know So Far
Kinetic Green is preparing to introduce a new electric scooter today (28 July, 2025) in India. Earlier teaser has confirmed this date, and test versions of the scooter have been seen on Indian roads.
In terms of design, the new Kinetic DX electric scooter seems to be inspired by the design of the well-known Kinetic Honda DX from the 1980s. Spy images have also indicated that its front apron, headlamp cluster, and overall shape are reminiscent of its predecessor. Modern touches include a backlit Kinetic logo and a TFT instrument cluster.
Hardware features are anticipated to include 12-inch wheels, a front disc brake, telescopic front forks, and dual rear shock absorbers. These components aim to provide a balanced blend of style and functionality for riders seeking both nostalgia and modernity in their ride.
Despite the retro looks, the Kinetic DX electric scooter will utilise a modern hub-mounted motor and is expected to offer battery capacities ranging from 2kWh to 3.5kWh. This setup is likely to enable a top speed of 80km/h, positioning it alongside other premium electric scooters like the Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida VX2.
Future Plans
Kinetic Green has ambitious plans for India's electric vehicle market. Over the next 18 months, they intend to launch three "Born Electric" scooters. This strategy underscores their commitment to expanding their presence in the growing EV segment in India.
The full specifications and pricing details will be disclosed during the official unveiling. However, these initial insights suggest that Kinetic Green is poised to make a significant impact with its new offerings in the electric scooter market.
