Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Unveiled With 130km Range - Honda's First Electric Bike
Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda has taken the wraps off the WN7, its first-ever production sports electric motorcycle. The new Honda WN7 electric motorcycle, which is based on the EV Fun Concept that was unveiled at EICMA 2024.
The WN7 name follows Honda's naming convention. The 'W' is carried over from the original concept project, the 'N' highlights its naked streetfighter styling, while the number '7' refers to the performance class the motorcycle belongs to. Honda confirmed this debut marks an important step in its electrification roadmap.

Powering the WN7 is an 18kW liquid-cooled motor, which Honda claims delivers performance similar to a 600cc internal combustion motorcycle. Despite its electric drivetrain, the bike tips the scales at 217 kilograms. Torque output is designed to give strong acceleration across city and highway riding.
In terms of range, the Honda WN7 can cover up to 130 kilometres on a single charge. Charging options include CCS2 fast charging, which takes the WN7's battery from 20 to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes. Using a 6 kVA wall charger, a full charge from zero takes around three hours.

The Honda WN7 also comes with an A1 licence-friendly variant to meet market licensing requirements in Europe. Both versions share the same bodywork, electronics, and charging systems, with Honda targeting broad accessibility across younger riders and experienced motorcyclists alike.
Design-wise, the WN7 carries sharp lines and aggressive styling typical of naked sportbikes. The front fascia features a large LED headlamp unit, complemented by LED indicators and taillights. The minimalist tail and muscular side profile complete its streetfighter appeal, aligning the bike visually with Honda's petrol-powered CB range.

The Honda WN7 electric motorcycle features a five-inch full-colour TFT display that sits at the centre of the handlebars and supports Honda's RoadSync connectivity suite. Riders can pair smartphones, access navigation, check notifications, and view dedicated EV menus such as real-time range and charging status.
The final details about the Honda WN7 will be revealed at EICMA 2025 in November and the bike will first go on sale in the UK before it arrives in other European markets. An India launch is currently not said to be on the cards.
