Honda Shine 100 DX Launched At Rs 74,959 - A New Rival For The Splendor
Honda has launched the Shine 100 DX in India at Rs 74,959 (ex-showroom, Gurugram). The Honda Shine 100 DX was initially revealed alongside the CB125 Hornet last month,as the firm celebrated its 25th Anniversary as a standalone manufacturer in India.
The new Honda Shine 100 DX boasts several upgrades over the standard Shine commuter motorcycle. It includes chrome accents above the headlight and muffler, a blacked-out engine and grab rail, and updated graphics. These cosmetic changes aim to provide a more appealing look for everyday commuters.

The Shine 100 DX retains the same 98.98cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine as the standard Shine. This engine delivers 7.28bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.04Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm and is paired with a 4-speed gearbox.
The Shine 100 DX sports telescopic front forks and 5-step pre-load adjustable rear shock absorbers to tackle the rough stuff and it rides on 17-inch wheels shod with tubeless tyres. Braking is taken care by drum brakes aided by Honda's Combined Braking System (CBS). The Shine 100 DX offers 168mm of ground clearance.
The Honda Shine 100 DX sports a 10-litre fuel tank, an LCD digital display that provides real-time mileage and distance-to-empty information, a 677mm long seat, and a side-stand engine cut-off feature. Other highlights of the Shine 100 DX include smart body graphics, and all-black engine & grab rail, accentuated by a chrome muffler cover.
The Honda Shine 100 DX is offered in four colour options: Pearl Ingenous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Geny Gray Metallic.
