Honda NX200 Launched in India At Rs 1,68,499 - The Baby NX
Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda has launched the NX200 in India at Rs 1,68,499 (ex-showroom). The new Honda NX200 is the rebranded version of the CB200X and replaces it in the firm's Indian lineup.
The rebranding of the CB200X to the NX200 sees the Honda NX lineup grow to two vehicles in India, the NX500 being the other "NX" motorcycle on sale in India. The new Honda NX200 will be available for sale only at Honda's RedWing and BigWing stores across the nation.
Powering the Honda NX200 is an updated version of the 184.4cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected 4-stroke engine that pushes out 16.76bhp at 8,500rpm and 15.7Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The engine which is now OBD2 compliant is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The Honda NX200 features Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for improved rear-wheel traction which should help it deal with variable weather conditions. The NX200 also features a slipper and assist clutch for smoother gearshifts and to ensure that the rear wheel doesn't lock up during aggressive downshifts. Honda has also equipped the NX200 with dual-channel ABS.
In terms of its looks, the NX200 features a few minor tweaks compared to the CB200X. The NX200 retains its predecessor's sharp front end, muscular fuel tank, angular graphics on the short-faired section and X-shaped LED taillights. The NX200 is offered in three colour options - Athletic Blue Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.
The NX200 sports a 4.2-inch fully-digital TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity that connects with the Honda RoadSync app support for navigation, call notifications, and SMS alerts. The NX200 also features a USB C-type charging port for on-the-go device charging.
