Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Launched At ₹28.99 Lakh - 217.5hp, MotoGP Tech
Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda has reintroduced the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in India. The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is priced at ₹28.99 lakh ex-showroom.
The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP arrives as Honda's litre-class flagship, featuring race-inspired aerodynamics and performance engineering directly influenced by Honda Racing Corporation's MotoGP development programmes.

The Honda Fireblade SP uses a 999cc inline-four engine producing 217.5hp at 14,500rpm and 113Nm of torque at 12,500rpm. Power is transferred through a six-speed gearbox with ride-by-wire throttle control and a bi-directional quickshifter. These outputs remain in line with the previous version of the Fireblade SP, seen in 2022.
Built around a lightweight aluminium diamond frame, the chassis design incorporates a MotoGP-style swingarm for improved balance. Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable 43mm Showa Big Piston Forks at the front and a Showa Balance Free Rear Cushion shock unit at the rear.

Braking hardware includes twin 330mm discs at the front with Brembo Stylema four-piston radial callipers. A 220mm disc is fitted at the rear. The Honda Fireblade SP runs on 17-inch alloy wheels, shod with 120-section front and 200-section rear tyres for road and track grip.
Electronics are governed by a six-axis IMU, offering traction control, wheelie control, engine braking management, and launch assist. A full-colour TFT screen provides access to adjustable riding modes and settings. Winglets integrated into the fairing supply aerodynamic downforce during high-speed operation on the track.

The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP enters India's premium superbike category. It faces rivals such as the BMW S 1000 RR, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and Ducati Panigale V4. Each of these litre-class motorcycles brings advanced electronics and track-ready performance to the domestic market.
BMW's S 1000 RR is listed between ₹20.75 lakh and ₹25.25 lakh. Kawasaki's ZX-10R is currently available at around ₹19.49 lakh. Ducati's Panigale V4 starts at roughly ₹30 lakh and extends up to ₹36.50 lakh, depending on the variant chosen.
