Design
The Activa e: is designed with simplicity and elegance, featuring an apron-mounted LED headlight and LED DRLs on the handlebar cowl. Silver accents and subtle creases enhance its side panels, while flush-fitting pillion footrests add sophistication.
Available in five colours—Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, and Pearl Igneous Black—the Activa e: presents a well-executed tail section with a stylish LED tail light featuring a dark smoke effect.
Advanced Features
The top-spec variant of the Activa e: includes a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for incoming call alerts and navigation assistance. Although the display offers a clear layout, it does not support touch functionality. Users navigate settings using a toggle switch located on the left handlebar.
Powertrain
The Honda Activa e: is powered by a swingarm-mounted motor delivering up to 6kW of peak output. This allows the scooter to accelerate from 0-60kmph in just 7.3 seconds. It offers three riding modes—Eco, Standard, and Sport—with a maximum speed of 80kmph.
Swappable Battery System & Range Details
The Activa e: utilises two 1.5kWh swappable batteries, providing a total capacity of 3kWh. Honda claims these batteries offer a range of 102km per charge. Unlike some competitors such as the Vida V1, these batteries are not intended for home charging. Instead, riders must use Honda's battery swapping stations to get fully charged replacements.
Currently, Honda has established 84 swapping stations in Bengaluru and plans to expand to Mumbai and Delhi. The availability of these stations may impact purchasing decisions as riders will need to consider the scooter's range and station accessibility when planning routes.
Variants & Pricing
The Honda Activa e: is available in two variants: Standard and RoadSync. The RoadSync variant is priced at Rs. 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Standard variant is priced at Rs. 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom) Bookings are currently open at Honda dealerships nationwide, with deliveries expected to begin in February 2025.
