Honda Activa e Vs QC1: Specs, Features & Pricing Comparison
Honda 2-Wheelers has introduced two new electric scooters, the Honda Activa e and the QC1, to the market. These launches have generated significant interest. After conducting a thorough test ride of both models, we have compiled a detailed comparison of their features and differences. Let's explore these aspects further.
The Activa e and QC1 scooters share a similar design, with the Activa e featuring enhancements for a more premium look. Consequently, the QC1 is marketed as a more affordable alternative. The QC1's starting ex-showroom price is ₹90,000, while the Activa e starts at ₹1.17 lakh. Additionally, the Activa e offers a top variant priced at ₹1.52 lakh.

The Honda Activa e is equipped with two removable 1.5kWh batteries, allowing users to charge them at home. Honda is also developing a battery swapping system for added convenience. A fully charged Activa e can travel up to 102km. In contrast, the QC1 has a single 1.5kWh battery that is not removable and offers a range of 80km on a full charge. Charging this battery from empty to full takes approximately 6 hours and 50 minutes.
Both scooters feature telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear for suspension. They come with alloy wheels; however, the Activa e includes a front disc brake, while the QC1 has a drum brake. The Activa e also boasts keyless start, a TFT colour instrument cluster with connectivity options, three ride modes, and reverse mode. Meanwhile, the QC1 offers an LCD instrument cluster, two ride modes, and 26 litres of under-seat storage.

Target Audience
The QC1 scooter is smaller in size compared to the Activa e in terms of appearance, technical features, and pricing. This makes it suitable for college students, senior citizens, or individuals needing to travel short distances within local areas. Conversely, the Activa e is better suited for commuting to work or running errands over slightly longer distances.
DriveSpark Thinks
Both scooters cater to different needs and preferences. The Activa e offers more advanced features and longer range at a higher price point, while the QC1 provides an economical option with essential features for shorter commutes.
