Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition Launched At 1.34 Lakhs
Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition in India, marking its presence in the 160cc motorcycle segment. This mid-level bike has become the first in its category to feature cruise control - a technology usually reserved for premium motorcycles. With this advanced feature, Hero has set a new benchmark for low-budget performance bikes.

Design
The Combat edition features a new Matt Shadow Grey colour scheme along with three other colours. The design elements are mainly borrowed from the Xtreme 250R, which features a newly designed LED headlamp, LED taillights and indicators. Alongside it gets the same single-seat setup but with a new 160R stitching.
Engine
The Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition retains the same 163.2cc single-cylinder, 4-valve Air-oil cooled engine. It produces 16.9 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. It is mated with a 5-speed gearbox. This bike is one of the fastest in the 160cc commuter sports bike segment.
Safety and Equipment
The Combat edition is built on a Tubular Underbone Diamond-type frame with a Box-type swing arm at the rear. It also features 37mm KYB Upside Down Forks and a 7-step adjustable monoshock. Additionally, it gets wide radial rear tyres, 276mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.
Technology and Features
Apart from full LED lighting, it features segment-first cruise control and panic brake alert. It is also upgraded with a new multicolour LCD, Ride by Wire, Drag Race Timer with drag modes and Riding modes: Rain, Road, and Sports. The cruise control feature enables the rider to maintain a constant speed, improving the vehicle's fuel efficiency.
Price and colours
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V standard edition is already being sold at 1.29 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Combat Edition starts at 1,34,100 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is available in four different colours: Matt Shadow Grey, Kevlar Brown, Matt Slate Black, and Neon Shooting Star.
