Hero Xpulse 210 Vs Kawasaki KLX 230: Price & Specs Comparison

Thanks to GST 2.0, motorcycles with engines under 350cc have become more affordable with a revised tax rate of 18 percent, while those above 350cc now attract 40 percent GST. This revision has led to noticeable price changes across the segment.

In this comparison, we take a closer look at two popular entry-level adventure bikes - the Hero Xpulse 210 and the Kawasaki KLX230 - to see how much their prices have dropped and how they compare post-GST revision.

Hero Xpulse 210: Price Reduced Up To Rs 14,516

Following the GST cut, the Hero Xpulse 210 has seen a notable price drop. Earlier priced at Rs 1.76 lakh for the Base and Rs 1.86 lakh for the Top variant, the motorcycle now starts at Rs 1.62 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.71 lakh (ex-showroom) - a reduction of up to Rs 14,516.

The Xpulse 210 is available in two variants - Base and Top - both powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 24.6hp at 9,250rpm and 20.7Nm at 7,250rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Top variant gets added equipment such as dual-channel ABS, a TFT display with smartphone connectivity, knuckle guards, and a windscreen, enhancing its touring appeal and off-road readiness.

Kawasaki KLX230: Now Priced Costs Rs 1.84 Lakh

Kawasaki's KLX230 has also benefited from the revised tax rate, receiving a further Rs 15,000 price cut. Originally launched at Rs 3.30 lakh, it saw a major price correction earlier in 2025 when localization efforts brought the price down to Rs 1.99 lakh. With the new GST structure, the bike now costs Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom), making it more accessible than ever before.

The KLX230 is powered by a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 19hp at 7,800rpm and 19Nm at 6,200rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a 37mm telescopic fork and monoshock setup, while braking is managed by single-channel ABS. The bike gets a basic LCD screen with Bluetooth and a 7.5-litre fuel tank, emphasizing its lightweight, off-road-focused nature rather than touring comfort.

Xpulse 210 Vs KLX230: Price Comparison

The Hero Xpulse 210 Base variant is the most affordable of the two at Rs 1.62 lakh, undercutting the KLX230 by Rs 22,000. However, the Xpulse 210 Top variant sits slightly higher at Rs 1.71 lakh, making it Rs 13,000 costlier than the Kawasaki.
