Hero Xpulse 210 Becomes More Affordable: Price Now Starts At Rs 1.62 Lakh

Hero MotoCorp's adventure-ready Xpulse 210 has received a considerable price cut, thanks to the recent reduction in GST on two-wheelers with engines below 350cc. The government's move to lower the tax rate from 28 percent to 18 percent has brought down prices across this segment, making motorcycles like the Xpulse 210 significantly more affordable.

The Hero Xpulse 210 is now priced at Rs 1.62 lakh for the Base variant and Rs 1.71 lakh for the Top variant, compared to the earlier prices of Rs 1.76 lakh and Rs 1.86 lakh, respectively (all prices ex-showroom). This drop of nearly Rs 15,000 per variant makes the motorcycle a much stronger value proposition for riders looking for an entry-level adventure tourer with modern technology and refined performance.

Hero Xpulse 210

A Major Step Up

The new Xpulse 210 represents a substantial evolution over the Xpulse 200, offering significant improvements in nearly every area. Engine performance has been enhanced with a more powerful motor, the chassis offers better stability, and overall ride comfort has been elevated. Handling dynamics are sharper and more confident, allowing riders to tackle both city streets and off-road trails with ease. Ergonomics have also been refined, ensuring better rider comfort over long distances.

Performance & Specifications

At the heart of the Xpulse 210 is the 210cc, liquid-cooled DOHC engine derived from the Karizma XMR. This powerplant produces 24.2bhp at 9,250 rpm and 20.7Nm of peak torque at 7,250 rpm, paired with a smooth six-speed gearbox. The result is a more spirited and refined performance, offering the right balance of power for both highway cruising and off-road adventures.

The bike is built around a strong steel semi-double cradle frame that provides durability and rigidity. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a linked monoshock at the rear, designed to absorb rough terrain while maintaining balance and comfort.

Braking performance has also been upgraded with disc brakes at both ends and three selectable ABS modes - Road, Off-road, and Rally - giving riders confidence in varied conditions. The Xpulse 210 weighs 168kg (kerb) and comes with a 13-litre fuel tank, suitable for long-distance rides.

Positioning & Rivals

The Hero Xpulse 210 sits in a niche segment with few direct rivals. Its closest competitor is the Kawasaki KLX 230, which has also become more affordable recently. However, the Hero's modern engine, advanced electronics, and versatile setup make it a far more contemporary and accessible option for adventure enthusiasts.

DriveSpark Thinks

With its new pricing, enhanced features, and improved dynamics, the Hero Xpulse 210 now stands as one of the most value-packed ADV motorcycles in the sub-350cc category, appealing to both first-time adventure riders and seasoned explorers alike.
