Hero Xoom 160 Bookings opened In India: Check Out All Details Here
Hero MotoCorp has officially opened bookings for its new flagship scooter, the Hero Xoom 160. Initially launched in January, the scooter's showroom availability faced delays due to technical or operational issues. Now, after a six-month wait, customers can finally book this model. The Xoom 160 is priced competitively at Rs 1,48,500, maintaining the same price announced during its launch.
Powering the Hero Xoom 160 is a 156 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder SOHC engine with i3S technology. This engine delivers 14.6 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque, paired with a CVT gearbox. In comparison, its primary competitor, the Yamaha Aerox 155, features a 155 cc engine producing 15PS and 13.9Nm of torque.

The scooter boasts a bold design that appeals to young riders. It features an ADV-style front beak, sharp dual-chamber LED headlamps, and a large windscreen. Muscular body panelling on the shoulders enhances its road presence. The long footrest area allows for comfortable foot placement during rides.
Hero offers several colour options for the Xoom 160 to match its sporty design. Choices include Matte Rainforest Green and Canyon Red for those seeking vibrant hues. For more subdued preferences, Summit White and Matte Volcanic Grey are available. Sporty graphics further enhance the scooter's overall aesthetic appeal.
The scooter includes advanced tech features such as a smart key with remote seat opening and a digital speedometer with turn-by-turn navigation. Its suspension system comprises telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers, ensuring stability on various terrains.
In terms of competition, the Hero Xoom 160 faces rivalry from Yamaha Aerox 155 and potentially from TVS Ntorq 150 in the future. The latter is expected to launch during the upcoming festive season at a competitive price point similar to the Xoom 160.
With a kerb weight of 142 kg and fuel capacity of seven litres, the Xoom 160 offers practicality alongside performance. Its seat height is set at 787 mm with ground clearance measuring at 155 mm, making it suitable for varied riding conditions.
