Hero Vida VX2 Witnesses Rs 15k Price Cut: Model Range Starts At Rs 44,490
Hero MotoCorp, India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has made a significant move in the electric scooter market by introducing Battery as a Service (BaaS) pricing for its Vida VX2 model. Initially priced at Rs 59,490 (Ex-showroom), the Vida VX2 now sees a price reduction of Rs 15,000, making it even more attractive to potential buyers.
The introduction of BaaS pricing by Hero MotoCorp marks a first for an Indian two-wheeler original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This approach reduces the initial purchase cost for customers. Unlike competitors that offer battery subscriptions through swapping stations, Hero's BaaS plan allows for more flexibility. The revised starting price for the Vida VX2 is now Rs 44,490 plus battery rental charges.

Vida VX2 Pricing Details
The base Go variant of the Vida VX2 is available at this new tempting price point. Meanwhile, the top-spec Plus variant is priced at Rs 57,990 plus battery rental charges. Without opting for BaaS plans, the Vida VX2 Go costs Rs 99,490 (Ex-showroom), and the Plus variant is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (Ex-showroom).
Hero MotoCorp has not specified how long this introductory offer will last. Prices might return to their original levels based on the company's discretion. It is speculated that Hero may be targeting a specific booking volume before ending this offer.
Battery and Charging Options
The newly launched Vida VX2 features a removable battery system with three charging options: DC fast charging, AC charging directly from the scooter, and AC charging by removing the batteries. This level of versatility is currently unmatched by any mainstream OEM in India.
The Vida VX2 Go variant includes a single removable battery pack with a capacity of 2.2kWh, offering a claimed range of 92km per charge. In contrast, the Vida VX2 Plus comes with two removable batteries totaling 3.4kWh capacity, promising up to 142km on a single charge.
DriveSpark Thinks
