Hero's electric division, Vida, has introduced the VX2, a budget-friendly electric scooter aimed at families. The base Go variant starts at Rs 59,490 with the Battery as a Subscription (BaaS) plan, while the Plus model costs Rs 1.10 lakh with batteries included. Both variants are available with or without the BaaS option.
The Vida VX2 is offered in two versions: Go and Plus. The Go variant features a 2.2kWh battery and boasts an IDC range of 92km. Meanwhile, the Plus variant comes with a larger 3.4kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 142km. Hero states that the running cost for both models is just Rs 0.96 per kilometre.

Vida VX2 Features and Design
The design of the Vida VX2 differs from its predecessor, the V2, focusing on family-friendly aesthetics with smooth lines and a single-piece seat. It includes a pillion backrest and handlebar shroud for added comfort. The headlight, tail light, and indicators are shared with the V2 model.
Both variants of the VX2 come equipped with connectivity features and use a physical key for operation. The Go model includes a 4.3-inch LCD display, while the Plus variant offers a more advanced 4.3-inch TFT dash. Additionally, both models run on 12-inch wheels at both ends.
Battery Charging and Storage
The Go variant's battery can be fully charged in approximately 3 hours and 53 minutes using the supplied 580W charger. In contrast, the Plus model takes about 5 hours and 39 minutes to charge completely. Both variants support fast charging capabilities.
The Go version provides a spacious underseat storage capacity of 33.2 litres due to its single battery setup. However, the Plus variant has slightly less storage space at 27.2 litres because it accommodates two batteries.
Performance Specifications
The Vida VX2's Go variant reaches a top speed of 70kph, whereas the Plus can achieve up to 80kph. The Go model features two riding modes: Eco and Ride, while the Plus adds an additional Sport mode for enhanced performance.
In terms of braking systems, promotional material indicated that the Go variant is equipped with front drum brakes. This feature was highlighted in teasers leading up to its launch.
Colour Options and Pricing
The Vida VX2 is available in seven colours: blue, black, yellow, red, white, grey, and orange; however, grey and orange are exclusive to the Plus variant. Pricing for the Go model is set at Rs 59,490 with BaaS or Rs 99,490 without it; meanwhile, the Plus costs Rs 64,990 with BaaS or Rs 1.10 lakh without it (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). If you opt for the BaaS plan and your battery's performance drops below 70%, Hero will replace it free of charge.
