Hero MotoCorp September 2025 Sales Report - Scooters Sales Rise By 54.3%

Hero MotoCorp closed September 2025 with a strong performance, posting an 8 per cent year-on-year growth in total sales. The Indian two-wheeler giant sold 6,87,220 units during the month, marking a sharp rise from 6,37,050 units recorded in September last year.

Month-on-month, Hero also saw a healthy recovery, with volumes climbing over 24 per cent compared to August's 5,53,727 units. The company attributed the solid momentum to festive buying and improved demand in both rural and urban markets.

Motorcycles continued to anchor Hero's volumes, with 6,26,217 units dispatched during the month. That represents a 4.8 per cent increase from September 2024. Key models like the Splendor Plus Xtec, HF Deluxe, and the recently launched Xtreme 125R remain among its top performers nationwide.

Scooters, however, were the surprise star of September. The segment grew 54 per cent year-on-year to 61,003 units, compared to 39,521 units in the same month last year. Hero credited the surge to rising demand for the Pleasure+, Xoom, and Destini 125, as well as fresh traction from the Vida electric brand.

Domestic sales reached 6,47,582 units, reflecting a 24.7 per cent jump over the same period last year. Exports too showed a positive uptick, climbing 14.6 per cent to 39,638 units. This steady export growth marks a continuing recovery in several Latin American and African markets.

For the second quarter of FY2025-26, Hero MotoCorp recorded overall sales of 16,90,702 units - an 11 per cent rise compared to the corresponding quarter last year. Of these, 15,28,355 were motorcycles and 1,62,347 were scooters, reaffirming its dominant domestic share.

Exports in the same quarter touched 1,11,584 units, indicating a growing international appetite for Hero's commuter motorcycles. The company noted strong overseas demand for the Hunk 125R, Hunk 160, and the HR Deluxe across developing markets.

Hero's latest sales figures arrive ahead of the peak festive cycle, with the brand also gearing up for multiple launches under its ICE and EV portfolio. With scooter demand rebounding sharply, the company appears set for a busier second half of the fiscal year.
