Hero Glamour X Leaked Ahead Of Launch - Cruise Control, TFT Screen Confirmed
Indian two-wheeler giant Hero MotoCorp is preparing to roll out a new 125 cc commuter called the Glamour X. A leaked video on YouTube has confirmed that the new Hero motorcycle will bear the Glamour X nameplate.
The same video also shows off quite a few of the features that Hero Motocorp has been teasing ahead of the launch of what it calls its most advanced 125cc motorcycle yet. Let's take a deeper look and decipher what has been revealed ahead of the launch of the Glamour X on 19th August.

The most surprising feature that the Hero Glamour X is bringing is is cruise control. It's unusual to see this technology on a 125 cc motorcycle, let along e a commuter motorcycle. The system on the Glamour X appears to be controlled via a toggle switch mounted on the right handlebar..
Some believe the switch on the Hero Glamour X could serve as a speed limiter instead. However, the signs point towards the Hero Glamour X getting a ride-by-wire throttle setup. With this ride-by-wire throttle control in place, Hero has room to pack in more advanced features on the Glamour X.

The Instrumentation duties on the Hero Glamour X are handled by a colour TFT display. The unit looks similar to the one seen on the Karizma XMR 210 and the recently unveiled Xtreme 250R. Standard tell-tale lights sit on the sides, along with a visible gear-shift indicator.
While the screen on the Glamour X may not match the sophistication of the Xtreme 250R's unit, it is expected to include connected functions such as Bluetooth alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. A Type-C charging port is also visible.

Design highlights of the Hero Glamour X revealed in the video include a full LED lighting setup, including LED indicators along with sculpted fuel tank shrouds, alloy wheels, and front disc brakes. The Glamour X is built around an underbone chassis and carries forward the familiar commuter proportions of the Glamour lineup.
Powering the Glamour X will likely be the same 124.7 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine used on the current Hero Glamour. The Glamour's engine pushes out 10.39 bhp and 10.4 Nm of peak torque and it is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
