The biggest talking point about the new Glamour X 125 from 125 is the introduction of Cruise Control, a first in the 125cc motorcycle segment and a feature usually found on more premium offerings in India. A toggle mounted on the right handlebar lets riders set or reset the chosen speed for the cruise control feature on the Glamour X 125.
In addition to cruise control, the new Hero Glamour X 125 also features three riding modes: Eco, Road, and Power, which adjust the throttle response of the commuter motorcycle. The Glamour X 125 also gets a colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, which allows for turn-by-turn navigation. The Glamour X also gets a USB Type-C charging port.
Hero has tweaked the styling of the Glamour X 125 compared to its predecessor. The new Glamour X 125 gets a sharper front end with H-shaped DRLs integrated into the headlight along with sharper tank extensions, a new front cowl, and redesigned side panels. The Glamour X 125 also gets a full LED lighting setup .
Powering the Hero GLamour X 125 is the familiar 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which pushes out 11.4bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The Glamour X 125's engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
Hero is offering the Glamour X 125 in five colourways. The Disc variant of the Glamour X 125 is offered in Metallic Nexus Blue, Black Teal Blue, and Black Pearl Red paint schemes while the Drum variant gets two colour options - Matt Magnetic Silver and Black.
Commenting on the launch, Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer, India Business Unit - Hero MotoCorp, said, "The 125cc segment continues to be a growth engine for the motorcycle industry, attracting both the aspirational first-time buyers and value-conscious upgraders. While the Xtreme 125R leads in performance and the Super Splendor in fuel efficiency; the new Glamour X introduces innovative technology, first-in-segment features, and a bold new striking design. This strategy expands the brand's reach across various sub-segments; boosting volumes and market share while further strengthening the company's leadership."
