Harley-Davidson X440T Vs Standard Model: Key Differences & What’s New
Harley-Davidson sells the X440 series in India in partnership with Hero MotoCorp. The X440 is the brand's entry-level motorcycle, and with the introduction of the new X440T, the lineup now gets several updated elements. Here's a quick look at what makes the X440T different from the standard X440.
Harley Davidson X440T: What's New?
Newly Designed Tail
Harley X440's rear design is not the most attractive, as many customers felt, something needs to be changed. Harley has listened to the feedback, and they redesigned the tail section completely. The tail frame now appears more sporty, sharper, and premium with repositioned grab rails. The seat is also more comfortable for the pillion riders.

New aesthetics
The bike now features new aesthetics, including bar-end mirrors and a tweaked front fender. This gives the bike a scrambler look, and the two compact bar-end mirrors are great for city maneuvers, offering good visibility. The exhaust also gets a new heat shield, improving the design. The graphics and decals are also redesigned, making them look more sporty.
Updated features
The X440T now features Ride-by-Wire technology and an Electronic throttle body that enhances acceleration, power delivery, and precision. It also features two riding modes (Road and Rain) with a traction control feature and switchable rear ABS. This allows the user to ride with confidence in any riding conditions. Additionally, it comes with a panic braking alert system, which enables the four indicators to blink in the event of sudden braking.

Things Which Didn't Change
The X440T is equipped with the same 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine. It produces 27 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 38 NM of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is mated with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper assist clutch system.
Safety features are retained, including the 43mm KYB USD forks, twin shock with 7-step adjustability, 18/17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, and 320/240mm Disc brakes. Features such as the Auto LED headlamp, 3.5-inch TFT display, and Smartphone connectivity all remain the same as the standard variant.
The X440 is priced at rupees 2.79 lakhs (ex-showroom), and it is the top-of-the-line variant in the Harley X440 lineup. The brand has decided to discontinue the base denim variant, with the regular model being sold at 2.34 lakhs (ex-showroom). It faces rivals such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350, and Triumph 400 twins.
