Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide Launched At ₹63.03 Lakh - This Or A Mercedes C-Class?
American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has launched the CVO Street Glide in India at ₹63.03 lakh (ex-showroom). The factory custom bagger arrives as part of the Harley-Davidson's Custom Vehicle Operations range and is now the second-most expensive Harley on sale in India, below the CVO Road Glide.
The Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide sits above the standard Street Glide in Harley's touring line-up. It keeps the familiar batwing fairing and bagger silhouette but adds more performance, higher-spec components and a richer finish.

Power for the Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 121 V-twin engine, displacing 1,982cc. This engine replaces the 117ci motor used in the standard Street Glide and is tuned to deliver 115hp at 4,500rpm and 189Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox using a slip-and-assist clutch.
The frame is shared with the regular Street Glide, but the CVO Street Glide upgrades the cycle parts. Braking hardware includes Brembo 4-piston radially mounted front calipers, while the rear suspension offers preload adjustment via a remote adjuster.

Fully fuelled, the CVO Street Glide has a kerb weight of 380kg, making it one of the heaviest motorcycles currently on sale in India. The fuel tank holds 22.7 litres. Despite the weight, Harley has given it a low 680mm seat height and 140mm of ground clearance to help usability in Indian conditions.
As a CVO model, the Street Glide focuses heavily on finish and detailing. It gets deep, layered paintwork, new lighter aluminium wheels, colour-matched components and billet parts across key touch points. The idea is to offer a visibly more premium look and feel than the regular Street Glide.

The motorcycle is available in three colour options and two finish packs. Buyers can choose between chrome and blacked-out treatments. The chrome finish is limited to one colour, while the blacked-out finish is offered with two different paint schemes, adding variety within the CVO range.
Equipment on the CVO Street Glide reflects its touring role. It features a 12.3-inch TFT display integrated into the batwing fairing, along with an in-built music system that also feeds speakers in the saddlebags. The interface bundles navigation, infotainment and vehicle information for long-distance use.

Electronic rider aids include ABS, traction control, hill-hold control and cruise control, all supported by an IMU. This allows the systems to work with lean-angle data for more consistent intervention. The electronics package is similar to other high-end Harley touring models and is standard on the CVO Street Glide.
Priced at ₹63.03 lakh ex-showroom, the CVO Street Glide sits just below the CVO Road Glide in Harley's Indian pricing ladder. Its key rivals in the full-size touring space include the Honda Gold Wing GL1800, priced at ₹42.82 lakh, and the BMW R 18 Transcontinental, priced at ₹34.73 lakh in India.
