EICMA 2025: BMW F 450 GS Unveiled – India Launch In Early 2026
BMW Motorrad has officially unveiled the F 450 GS at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy, showcasing an adventure motorcycle built on a new 450 cc platform jointly developed with TVS Motor Company. The new F 450 GS aims to replace the outgoing G 310 GS as BMW's entry-level GS adventure offering.
Powering the BMW F 450 GS is a liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine displacing around 420 cc, producing approximately 47.6 PS and 43 Nm of torque. The transmission options include a manual six-speed, while the top "GS Trophy" variant offers BMW's Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) system which allows for automatic gear shifts.

The BMW F 450 GS features a tubular steel frame, suspended off a USD front fork and rear monoshock. The F 450 GS rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels fitted with dual-purpose tyres (tubless tyres on spoked wheels are offered as an option). Braking hardware includes a 310mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes.
Feature highlights on the BMW F 450 GS include full-LED lighting, a 6.5-inch TFT console offering smartphone connectivity, multiple ride modes, switchable ABS for off-road scenarios and traction control enhanced for terrain changes.

The BMW F 450 GS is offered in four distinct variants: Basic, Exclusive, Sport and GS Trophy. Variant differences include adjustable suspension, bidirectional quick-shifter, under-body guard accessories, rally windshield and advanced electronic ride aids on higher trim levels.

For the Indian market, BMW Motorrad is expected to lunch the F 450 GS in early 2026. The new BMW F 450 GS is expected to be priced around ₹4.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh ex-showroom. The BMW F 450 GS rival bikes such as the Honda NX 500, Benelli TRK 502, CFMOTO 450 MT and the single-cylinder KTM 390 Adventure.
