BMW F 450 GS Teased Ahead Of EICMA 2025 Debut - What We Know So Far
BMW Motorrad has released the first teaser of the upcoming F 450 GS ahead of its world premiere at EICMA 2025 in Milan. The short clip shared on the firm's social handles shows a portion of the tank design, confirming F450 branding and revealing part of the motorcycle's colour and graphic treatment.
The teaser reveals minimal bodywork around the tank and shrouds, keeping the front half visually compact. The stepped seat, tank angle and subframe height indicate a standing riding position compatible with broken-road or gravel riding, a layout common across the GS range.

The F 450 GS will sit between the G 310 GS and the larger F 900 GS in BMW's adventure motorcycle lineup. BMW displayed an early concept at EICMA 2024, and the model has since moved into development stages involving road testing and validation work.
A newly developed 450cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine will power the new F 450 GS and the new powerplant is said to have been co-developed with Indian two-wheeler firm TVS. The output from the engine is said to be around 48 bhp, placing it within European A2 licence regulations. BMW will offer the F 450 GS with a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a semi-automatic gearbox option.
The BMW F 450 GS will sport upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock and a spoked wheel setup using a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear. However, some test mules have been seen with cast alloy wheels instead of tubeless spoked units
Equipment expected from production filings includes LED lighting, a full-colour TFT screen, traction control and riding modes. shown on the concept.
BMW Motorrad has not disclosed launch timelines or when deliveries will start for the all-new F 450 GS. However, BMW has been evaluating the F450 GS in regions where mid-capacity adventure motorcycles are in high demand and the new ADV will rival the likes of the Honda NX500, CFMoto 450MT and KTM 390 Adventure.
When it does arrive in India, we estimate BMW to price the F 450 GS between ₹4 lakh and ₹4.5 lakh (ex-showroom) if the ADV is assembled in India under BMW's existing production arrangement with TVS.
The complete tech specs, market rollout details and equipment lists for the BMW F 450 GS will be made public at the EICMA 2025 presentation, which will take place at EICMA 2025 on 4th November at 11:45 a.m. CET (4:15 p.m. IST).
