Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Updated; Prices Start At Rs 1.84 Lakh – Too Little Too Late

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was launched way back in 2015 along with the AS150 and AS200. While the AS models didn't stand the test of time, the Pulsar RS200 managed to chung along for almost a decade without any update.

Now, for 2025, Bajaj Auto finally decided to update the Pulsar RS200 model - marking the model's first update since its launch in April 2015. The updated model is priced at Rs 1.81 lakh (ex-showroom), which is 10,000 more than its predecessor.

Design

When launched, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was seen as an overstyled motorcycle with abundance of creases, lines and graphics. It was almost like Bajaj had decided to roll out all the updates for the next 10 years at the launch itself.

That being said, the latest update to the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has not helped with the design of the model in anyways, except for a redesigned taillamp and graphics. The taillamp is now a split unit where each pod flanks the rear number plate and houses the brake light and turn indicators.

Features

As part of the update, the new Bajaj Pulsar RS200 motorcycle has received a minor update in form of an updated instrument cluster, switch gear and few modern features as well.

The updated fully digital instrument cluster replaces the part analogue - part digital unit and it is apparently shared with the recently launched Pulsar NS400Z. This new digital instrument cluster houses features such as Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and call notification & other alerts.

Other noticeable features of the updated Pulsar RS200 model include 3 Ride Modes (Off-Road, Road, & Rain). Furthermore, the model comes equipped with dual-channel ABS for added safety.

Powertrain

Powering the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the same 199cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This powertrain produces 24.5hp at 9,750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8,000rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.

Competition

The new 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 competes against the new Hero Karizma XMR (Rs 1.81 lakh) and the Yamaha R15 V4 (Rs 1.84 lakh to Rs 2.11 lakh). It is also worth mentioning that the vastly more powerful Pulsar NS400Z is priced at just Rs 4,000 more than the updated RS200 at Rs 1.85 lakh. (All prices in ex-showroom).
