2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Starts Reaching Dealerships Across India: All The Changes & Updates You Need To Know
The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has begun arriving at dealerships, although its official launch is still pending. The motorcycle remains largely unchanged in terms of design and mechanics. However, it now features an OBD2-compliant engine and new ABS modes to enhance safety.
New Features in the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS160
The most significant update for the 2025 model is the introduction of three ABS modes: Rain, Road, and Off-road. In Rain mode, the ABS is highly sensitive. Road mode is optimised for everyday riding, while Off-road mode disables the rear wheel's ABS.
Earlier in February 2024, Bajaj introduced a new LED headlamp with LED Daytime Running Lamps for this model. The turn indicators have also been upgraded to LED units, while the rear tail lamp remains an LED unit as before.
Enhanced Instrument Cluster
The digital instrument cluster now includes Bluetooth connectivity via the Bajaj Ride Connect Application. This allows for notifications, call management, and turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, a USB port is available for mobile charging.
Real-time updates on fuel consumption, average fuel economy, and gear position are also displayed on the new cluster. Despite these upgrades, some riders still prefer an analogue tachometer that reaches the redline quickly.
Engine Specifications and Performance
The Pulsar NS160 retains its 160.3 cc oil-cooled engine that delivers a maximum power of 17.03 bhp and peak torque of 14.6 Nm. It continues to use a five-speed gearbox for transmission duties.
Bajaj Auto employs a perimeter frame for this model, supported by upside-down forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both wheels.
The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres. These features ensure a balanced performance suitable for various riding conditions without compromising comfort or control.
Overall, while retaining its core design and mechanical elements, the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 introduces several technological advancements aimed at improving rider experience and safety compliance with current norms.
