Bajaj Chetak 3503 Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 1.1 Lakh
Bajaj Auto, India's leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer in March 2025, recently unveiled the Chetak 3503 electric scooter, enhancing its 35 Series lineup. This new addition emerges as the most budget-friendly option within the series, with a price tag of Rs 1.1 lakh (Ex-showroom). It slots in beneath its siblings, the Chetak 3501 and Chetak 3502, offering an attractive price point for consumers seeking value in the electric scooter market.
The company's strategic move to introduce the Chetak 3503 aims directly at competitors like Ola S1X+, Ather Rizta S, and TVS iQube 3.4. These rivals also market themselves on offering long-range capabilities at affordable costs but tend to skimp on added features and equipment. With the Chetak 3503, Bajaj Auto bolsters its repertoire, providing customers with a cost-effective yet feature-rich alternative.

Technology
Despite its lower price, the Chetak 3503 does not compromise significantly on features. It stands out with an array of functionalities that include hill hold assist, a color LCD cluster supporting Bluetooth and music control, call management, ride modes such as Eco and Sports, and LED headlights, among others. While it may lack certain premium features like sequential turn indicators and front disc brakes, and sports a marginally slower charging time (0-80% in 3 hours and 25 minutes), it still maintains a robust offering for its price.
Design and Specifications
Bajaj Auto ensures that even the more affordable Chetak 3503 doesn't fall short on aesthetics or utility. Customers can choose from four enticing color options: Brooklyn Black, Indigo Blue, Matt Grey, and Cyber White. This model also inherits the newer chassis design synonymous with the 35 Series, facilitating a generous 35L under-seat storage space and featuring the iconic metal body design typical of Chetak scooters.
Powering the Chetak 3503 is the same 3.5 kWh battery pack found in the more premium Chetak 3501 and 3502 models. To position it as a more budget-friendly option, Bajaj has slightly reduced performance metrics, resulting in a top speed of 63 km/h. Nevertheless, it impressively claims a range increase, promising up to 155 km on a single charge, marking a significant advancement in the electric scooter segment.
Market Impact and Competitive Edge
The introduction of the Chetak 3503 significantly impacts the electric scooter market, particularly in India, where demand for affordable, long-range electric vehicles is on the rise. By offering a competitively priced model with commendable features and specifications, Bajaj Auto solidifies its position as a key player in the electric vehicle sector. The launch of the Chetak 3503 not only expands Bajaj's electric scooter lineup but also provides consumers with a wider range of options to suit their preferences and budgets.
DriveSpark Thinks
Bajaj Auto's unveiling of the Chetak 3503 electric scooter represents a strategic move to capture a larger share of the growing electric vehicle market in India. With its affordable pricing, comprehensive feature set, and impressive range, the Chetak 3503 is poised to attract a broad customer base, further cementing Bajaj Auto's status as a leader in the country's electric two-wheeler market.
