Bajaj has introduced the Chetak 3001, a new entry-level electric vehicle priced at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This model replaces the previous Chetak 2903 and is now the most affordable in Bajaj's lineup.

The newly launched Bajaj Chetak 3001 boasts a claimed range of 127km and features a spacious 35-litre boot, similar to its more expensive counterparts.

The Chetak 3001 is powered by a 3kWh battery pack. It comes with a fast 750W charger that can recharge the battery from 0% to 80% in just under 4 hours. The scooter shares its chassis with the pricier Chetak 35 models, ensuring ample underseat storage space. This feature is particularly appealing in the expanding electric vehicle market.

Like its sibling, the Chetak 3503, this new model also reaches a top speed of 63kph and uses drum brakes on both wheels. A hallmark of the Chetak series is its full-metal body, which continues with this model. The TecPac provides additional functionalities such as call and music control, 'Guide Me Home' lights, hill-hold assist, reverse light, and an auto-flashing tail-light. Riders can choose between two modes: Eco and Sports. However, details about motor power, dimensions, and TecPac subscription costs are yet to be disclosed by Bajaj.

It is priced just Rs 1,500 higher than its predecessor. Available in five colours—red, yellow, black, white, and blue—deliveries are anticipated to begin soon.
