Bajaj Auto Launches Rs 5000 Discount On Freedom 125 Motorcycle
Bajaj Auto has introduced a Rs 5,000 discount on its Freedom 125 motorcycle. This offer is exclusive to the NG04 drum variant, which is the base model. The announcement was made on the brand's social media platforms. However, this price reduction is not permanent and will be available for a limited time.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 stands out as the first CNG-powered motorcycle globally. It features a 125 cc petrol engine paired with a CNG tank under the seat. The bike's weight is slightly higher than other 125 cc models due to its 2 kg CNG tank and 2-litre petrol tank.
Fuel Efficiency and Range
Bajaj claims that the Freedom 125 reduces operating costs by up to 50% compared to traditional petrol motorcycles of similar capacity. The CNG version offers a mileage of 102 km/kg, while it delivers 64 kmpl when running on petrol. The bike can cover up to 200 km solely on CNG, with an additional range of 130 km from the petrol tank, totalling a combined range of 330 km.
The design of the Bajaj Freedom 125 is innovative, featuring a horizontally positioned engine and a trellis frame that protects the CNG tank beneath the seat. Its bi-fuel capability allows it to run on both CNG and petrol, making it versatile for different fuel availability situations.
Features and Specifications
This motorcycle includes an LED headlamp, telescopic front forks, and a monolink suspension system at the rear. The top variant also boasts a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. The seat height is set at 825 mm due to the placement of the CNG cylinder directly beneath it.
Weighing in at 147.8 kg (kerb), the Bajaj Freedom 125 is marginally heavier than other bikes in its class. Despite this, its unique features and fuel efficiency make it an attractive option for riders looking for cost-effective transportation.
