Yamaha unveils the Lander 250 at Auto Expo 2025, a dual-purpose motorcycle designed for adventure with modern features and competitive pricing.
Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha has unveiled the Lander 250 dual-sport at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, signalling a strategic move towards capturing the Indian motorcycle market's interest. The Yamaha Lander 250 is currently sold in Brazil and the decision to showcase this model in India shows that it could be considering bringing the bike to India.
The Lander 250 distinguishes itself with a design that caters to both city roads and off-road trails. Its unique features, such as a central projector LED headlight for better night visibility, a high front fender, and wide fuel tank extensions, underscore its adventurous spirit.

Furthermore, its single-piece seat and upswept exhaust not only elevate its visual appeal but also enhance its practicality for diverse riding conditions. This motorcycle is designed to appeal to adventure lovers who crave a blend of style and functionality.
Engine Performance and Safety Features
At the heart of the Lander 250 lies a robust 249cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 20.5bhp of power and 20.6Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike features a sturdy double-cradle frame. suspended off telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock and it offers impressive ground clearance and adaptability to various terrains. Safety is prioritized with the inclusion of disc brakes at both ends, enhanced by ABS, providing riders with confidence across different riding scenarios.
Yamaha has not overlooked the importance of technology in modern riding experiences. The Lander 250 integrates an LCD screen that supports smartphone connectivity, enabling riders to effortlessly access vital information and stay connected while on the move. Colour Options and Expected Pricing
The Lander 250 is offered in in four vibrant color options in its home market: Matte Green, Solid Red, Matte Grey, and Metallic Red. If it does come to India, Yamaha is expected to price it at around Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki KLX 230 and the Xpulse 210.
Yamaha's Lander 250, with its modern design, technological advancements, and performance capabilities, could be a compelling choice for Indian riders seeking adventure and versatility. However, that will still depend on how the bike is recieved at Auto Expo 2025.
