Auto Expo 2025: Suzuki Access Electric Scooter Could Be Showcased At Bharat Mobility Expo 2025
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited is gearing up to unveil its first electric two-wheeler at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, starting tomorrow in Delhi. The Japanese company had previously introduced the e-Burgman electric scooter in 2023 and even tested it on Indian roads. However, it seems that the e-Burgman might not be their initial EV launch for India.
Reports indicate that Suzuki is working on a new electric scooter tailored specifically for the Indian market. This upcoming model, codenamed XF091, might be launched as the Access Electric or e-Access. A significant distinction between this model and the e-Burgman lies in their battery systems.
The India-specific model is likely to feature a fixed battery pack, unlike the e-Burgman's removable batteries. In India, most electric scooters come with fixed batteries; exceptions include the Honda Active e:. While removable batteries offer benefits, they can reduce underseat storage space, affecting convenience.
Production of Suzuki's Access electric scooter has reportedly begun, with sales expected soon. Although details are scarce, it's anticipated that its design will resemble the Suzuki Access 125, similar to Honda Activa e:. The scooter might offer a range of 80-100 km and a top speed of around 80 kmph.

The all-electric Suzuki Access is expected to have a fixed battery configuration. More information about this upcoming product will be revealed at the Auto Expo 2025. The focus on fixed batteries aligns with current market trends in India, where such configurations are more common.
