Auto Expo 2025: OPG Mobility DEFY 22 Launched At Bharat Mobility Global Expo
At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, held on January 17, 2025, OPG Mobility, previously known as Okaya EV, unveiled their latest electric vehicle, the Ferrato 'DEFY 22'.
The Defy 22 comes at an introductory price of Rs. 99,999 (Ex-showroom) and can be booked for a nominal fee of Rs. 499.
The event was a showcase of the company's dedication to eco-friendly mobility, featuring a range of products including a concept model alongside the 'DEFY 22'.
The 'DEFY 22' electric scooter, available in an assortment of dual-tone colours such as Champagne Cream, Black Fire, Coastal Ivory, Unity White, Resilience Black, Dove Grey, and Matte Green, is tailored to cater to diverse consumer preferences.
It comes equipped with a 1200W motor that can peak at 2500W and a 72V 30Ah (2.2 kWh) LFP battery, enabling speeds of up to 70kmph and a range of 80km on a single charge, as certified by ICAT. The scooter's design not only prioritizes aesthetic appeal but also focuses on rider comfort with features like a dual footboard level.
OPG Mobility also took the opportunity to present the Ferrato Z Model, a concept electric scooter specifically designed for the Indian market. This was part of a wider display of Ferrato electric two-wheelers and OTTOOPG electric three-wheelers, showcasing the brand's commitment to providing a broad spectrum of sustainable transportation options.
The exhibit included different models of electric scooters and bikes, as well as electric three-wheelers for both passenger and cargo use, highlighting the company’s versatility in the electric mobility space.
Durability and Performance
The 'DEFY 22' stands out not only for its design and performance but also for its robust build. It boasts an IP67-rated LFP battery and an IP65-rated weatherproof charger, ensuring it can withstand various environmental conditions.
Additionally, the scooter is equipped with a 7-inch touch display speedometer with music capabilities, 12-inch alloy wheels, and a Combi Disc Brake System, blending style with functionality to offer a superior riding experience.
Additional Accessories For The Riders
OPG Mobility's commitment to enhancing the rider experience extends beyond their electric vehicles. At the expo, the company also showcased a range of Ferrato-branded accessories, including helmets, helmet locks, mobile stands, gloves, jackets, and seat covers.
