Honda Motocompacto Showcased At Auto Expo 2025 - The Electric Scooter That Folds Into A Suitcase
Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda has showcased the insanely brilliant Motocompacto e-scooter at Auto Expo 2025. This innovative vehicle is designed for those seeking a novel and enjoyable approach to navigating city streets thanks to its unique ability to fold into the size of a suitcase.
The design of the Motocompacto is both functional and stylish, with its compact size that makes it effortless to manage and store. It boasts dimensions of 742mm in length, 94mm in width, and a height of 536mm, ensuring it can be smoothly integrated into daily life.

The Honda Motocompacto scooter's lightweight frame, weighing just 19kg, alongside its foldable seat and handlebar, enhances its portability, making it an ideal companion for urban dwellers. The Motocompacto is powered by a permanent magnet direct-drive motor, that delivers a peak output of 490W and a torque of 16Nm.
The Motocompacto offers a respectable range of 19.31km and can reach speeds up to 24.14kmph. The scooter is equipped with a 0.7 kWh battery that fully recharges in just 3.5 hours using a 110V socket, catering to the needs of those on the go.

The Motocompo is actually an electric reinterpretation of the Honda Motocompo from the 1980s. The Honda Motocompo was initially introduced as a "trunk bike" which fit into the boot of subcompact cars like the then newly introduced Honda City. The City's boot was specifically developed around the Motocompo, which was sold as a factory add-on and not as a separate motorcycle.
Honda's Motocompacto stands out with its compact, foldable design and efficient performance, making it a fascinating addition to the realm of urban transportation. Although it may not hit the Indian markets, its introduction at the Auto Expo 2025 has certainly upped the scope for innovative future mobility solutions in urban environments.
