Ather To Reveal EL Platform & Concept Scooter Today - Here’s Everything We Know
Ather Energy is preparing for a major showcase today(August 30) at its third annual Community Day event in Bengaluru. Like at previous Community Day events, Ather is expected to drop quite a few big reveals at the event.

The first and biggest announcement due for Ather's community Day 2025 event is the reveal of its new EL platform. The EL platform marks Ather's move into the budget segment and is designed to support a range of more affordable scooters. Ather claims that the EL platform will be modular, efficient, and cost-friendly while reusing proven elements like its software systems from its previous offerings.
The first glimpse of an EL-based scooter came through a teaser showing a distinctive front-end design. A headlamp sits within the handlebar cowl, paired with integrated indicators, while daytime running lamps sit lower on the apron. This dual-light layout gives the scooter a fresh visual identity compared to Ather's current lineup.
Tarun Mehta, CEO of Ather Energy, also revealed that the company will present its maiden concept scooter at Ather Community Day 2025. Early visuals hint at a sporty maxi-scooter silhouette, complete with a sharply angled tail and a split seat engraved with the Ather logo.
According to Mehta, the project is about "experimenting with unconventional engineering and design-beautiful in outcome." It signals a willingness to break from Ather's familiar design template and explore new possibilities for both style and performance in future scooters.
Current industry rumblings suggest the EL platform could spawn multiple scooters by late 2026 or early 2027. With expected prices starting under ₹1 lakh, these models are likely to compete with popular rivals such as the TVS iQube, Ola S1 series, Hero Vida, and Bajaj Chetak.
Ather Community Day 2025 will also host the reveal of Ather Stack 7.0, the latest version of the Bangalore-based EV startup's operating system and it promises enhanced connectivity options and a host of smarter features. Ather is also expected to announce faster public charging solutions for its Ather Grid network.
For 2025, Ather is opening Community Day to everyone-not just existing owners. With the EL platform, concept scooter, new software, and charging updates all set for reveal, the event could shape the next big phase of India's electric mobility story.
