Ather Energy Celebrates As Rizta Electric Scooter Crosses 2 Lakhs Sales

One of India's leading electric scooter manufacturers, Ather Energy, has achieved a new sales milestone with its Rizta Family electric scooter. The company has announced that the Rizta scooter has crossed 2 lakh sales. Just 6 months ago, the scooter achieved 1 lakh unit sales, and now it has crossed the 2 lakh sales milestone. Thanks to its family-friendly design and tech features, it became a huge success in the domestic market.

The Rizta electric scooter was first launched in India in April 2024 and has become a driving force behind Ather Energy's success in the market. Ather Energy is also selling this scooter in markets like Nepal and srilanka. They also have a very ambitious plan to expand into global markets, including Southeast Asia, Europe, and Latin America, over the next few years.

Ather Energy has also become the third-highest EV seller in India in November 2025, behind TVS and Bajaj. Ather also surpassed their prime competitor, Ola Electric. The launch of the Rizta family electric scooter is definitely a turning point, and it has now helped them capture around 18% of the EV market share.

It offers two variants with three different battery packs: 2.7 kWh, 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh, having a range of 123km/159km. It produces a peak power of 4.3 kW, 22 NM of torque and a top speed of 80 km/h. These scooters can accelerate from 0 to 40km/h in just 4.7 seconds, which is optimal for city rides.

Additionally, it is equipped with all the latest features like Disc brakes, CBS brake system, Telescopic fork, Mono shock suspension, LED setup, 34 Litre boot space, Reverse mode, 7-inch TFT display, Smartphone connectivity, Turn by Turn Navigation, Riding Modes (Eco, SmartEco and Zip Mode), Skid control, Emergency Stop signal, Calling and Music control, Alexa, Share Live Location, Theft notification and whatsapp preview dashboard.

The Rizta EV scooter comes in two variants: Rizta S and Rizta Z. The lower-spec S variant is sold at 1.15 lakhs (ex-showroom), and the higher-spec Z variant starts at 1.30 lakhs (ex-showroom). Customers can opt for an Eight70 Battery Warranty that guarantees an 8-year or 80,000 km warranty for these scooters.
