Ather Rizta With Multi-Language Dashboard: Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, And More!
In an effort to tailor its products more closely to the diverse linguistic landscape of India, Ather Energy Limited has introduced a new feature for its Rizta family scooter. The scooter's dashboard interface will now support eight Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and Malayalam, among others.
This update aims to make the scooter more user-friendly for a broader segment of the Indian population, acknowledging the preference for regional languages in digital content engagement. The initial rollout will feature Hindi, with additional languages to be added subsequently.

Ather's Focus on Local Languages
The decision to introduce multi-language support stems from an understanding of Indian users' preferences for regional languages when interacting with digital platforms. The Internet in India 2024 report by IAMAI and Kantar highlighted that 98% of internet users in India consumed content in Indic languages in 2024.
This preference for native languages over English in digital content consumption emphasizes the importance of linguistic inclusion in technology products, particularly in a diverse country like India. Ather Energy's initiative to incorporate regional languages into its dashboard interface is a significant step towards making technology more accessible and personalized for Indian consumers.
Connectivity and Safety
The multi-language dashboard feature will be delivered to Rizta Z owners through an over-the-air (OTA) software update. This update is part of AtherStack, the company's proprietary software engine that enriches the Ather scooter experience with a variety of features.
These include live location sharing, WhatsApp notifications directly on the dashboard, fall detection with FallSafe, AutoHold for enhanced control, and even voice commands via Alexa Skills integration. Ather's commient to innovation is evident in its continuous efforts to improve convenience and safety for its riders.

Ather Energy's product line includes the Ather 450 and the Rizta scooters, both of which are engineered to meet the unique demands of Indian road conditions. The Rizta, launched in April 2024, is designed with a focus on comfort, convenience, and safety, offering features like a reverse switch, a large seat for added comfort, and advanced safety measures including traction control and disc brakes.
It also boasts a generous storage capacity of up to 56 liters. Adding to its innovative offerings, Ather introduced Halo last year, a smart helmet equipped with communication systems, a premium sound setup, and noise-filtering microphones designed to seamlessly integrate with the user’s smartphone.
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, emphasized the company's commient to addressing the specific needs of Indian consumers. He stated, "Since the beginning we have designed and built our technology and products from the ground up, keeping the needs of Indian consumers in mind. Our aim has always been to deliver quality user experiences that make our scooters more engaging."
He added, "Given India's rich diversity, and the pride that people take in their regional languages, our intent was to make our scooters more user friendly. We believe the multi-language dashboard would allow the riders to personalise their scooters in the language of their preference."
Ather Energy's introduction of a multi-language dashboard interface for its Rizta scooter is a forward-thinking move that acknowledges the linguistic diversity of India. By enabling users to interact with their scooters in their preferred regional languages, Ather aims to enhance the user experience and foster a deeper connection with its customers.
This update, coupled with Ather's ongoing efforts to innovate in the areas of convenience, safety, and connectivity, underscores the company's commient to meeting the unique needs and preferences of Indian consumers.
